"Hong Kong's standard-bearers for jazz" Time Out Hong Kong

Hong Kong's top Jazz guitarist, Eugene Pao and friends will be playing at the Jazz Cafe in Camden, London this summer.

Hong Kong first discovered its own guitar hero in the mid 1980’s when Eugene Pao returned from the U.S. and began playing around town. He has been at the vanguard of promoting jazz in the territory through his performances & recordings over the last 20 plus years.

An accomplished composer as well as a soloist, Eugene Pao has gained widespread acclaim also for the music he has written for film soundtracks, television commercials and numerous projects for local pop artists.

Eugene Pao performs regularly in jazz clubs, jazz festivals and concerts around the world, and has played live with many jazz greats including Chick Corea and Herbie Hancock, as well as Jon Hendricks, Jimmy Witherspoon, and Bill Bruford.

Eugene Pao's in London is co-organised by the Hong Kong Executive Club & the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office with support from Spectrum Radio 558AM. Profits will be donated to charity.
