VIETNAMESE communities throughout England gathered in Burgess Park, south east London, on Sunday to celebrate more than 25 years settlement in the UK. 

The event, organised by the UK Vietnamese Network, was the first time since 1991 that the Vietnamese community had come together on such a large scale to enjoy an array of festivities that included live music, family entertainment and Vietnamese food, arts and crafts.

The Chinese Showcase opens up opportunities for emerging musical talents from those of East Asian heritage and gives an insight into what they have to offer in today's ever musically aspired industry. CAMPAIGNERS fighting to save Oriental City in Colindale, North London, have won a landmark settlement for the tenants of the Far Eastern shopping complex. 

Development Securities, owners of Oriental City, have agreed to a compensation package for the tenants which include free rent and continued trading until development of the site starts in June 2008.
