倫敦國際廣播電台數碼化並加設普通話節目

英國廣播技術進入數碼年代，倫敦華人收聽多年之《城市好時光》節目亦於本月(11月)正式轉移到DAB數碼頻道播放。該節目更將延長廣播時間，推出普通話節目，並成立24小時之網上音樂頻道，讓倫敦以外的聽眾亦可收聽華人的節目。

倫敦國際廣播電台華人節目監製愛麗詩表示：「我們於去年進行了數碼試播，聽眾的反應都十分熱烈。新的數碼頻道相比舊式的ＡＭ頻道，音色更佳更清晰，又有不少先進的功能，如暫停收聽及節目錄音等。最難得是新的數碼頻道可以容納更多不同的節目，讓我們可以延長廣播時間，推出全新的普通話節目，服務更廣泛的華人社區。」

倫敦國際廣播電台多年來肩負歐洲唯一每日廣播之華人電台的獨特角色，透過製作多元化的電台節目，積極推動英國華人文化藝術的發展。

近年來，本台製作了多輯文化藝術節目、策劃和轉播多項大型文化活動。如青年華人鋼琴家李嘉齡演奏會特輯，香港中樂團英國巡迴演出特輯，城市演唱會特輯及龍舟同樂日文藝大匯演等，均得到聽眾極佳迴響。
